Thread: How can I view all active server consoles

i have headless server (11.10) running backup jobs on different consoles (f1 through f6)

there way view active consoles on same monitor @ same time?


goal have @ least 4 different consoles running side side (in quad formation) splitting screen 4 "windows" , being able toggle through consoles.

ideas?

you might able panes in tmux or screen. you'd have logged each console that, though.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
