Thread: how do I add more space to sda1

i'm trying add 20gb of space main sda1 drive/partition.

used boot cd of gparted , still couldn't add more space main sda1 drive/partition. when tried extend 20gb, kept having error saying failed.

20gb drive have deleted partition , left unallocated. best of recall can't unallocated when you're trying this.

why isn't letting me this? i'm doing wrong can't figure out what.

on windows know how it, here..??

maybe i've forgotten step?

is 20gb of unallocated space directly after sda1?
