Thread: How to disable a virus from ubuntu?

hi,i ubuntu user.before ubuntu used win 7.bt changed windows 1 reason.and virus.when virus first attacked did not understand happened.i found files named readme.eml .i deleted them still windows kept on making them.then 1 day exe files in laptop became corrupt.i not start exe files.i re-installed windows 4 or 5 times still exes won't run.then understood laptop has been attacked.i deleted exes using antivirus because antivirus shows chir.b virus.then day after re-installing windows again not start windows.only laptop boot logo comes , dash means windows loading hard disk comes.and pc freezes there.nothing happens.i left laptop on 6 hours "windows loading" thingy doesn't come.then installed ubuntu cause knew ubuntu doesn't run windows virus or ignores them.from started using ubuntu.but found lot of readme.eml files in pc.they everywhere.i deleted them using clamav kept on making.also on clamav exe files shown chir.b virus.how can solve problem , windows?i know gnome 3 beautiful need windows gaming , gaming slow in wine.pls reply quickly.

p.s. sorry if posted in wrong section cause can't understand post virus problem , sorry mistake

you need format , start fresh everything. keeping has main virus causing of these files.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
