hi! have connected ubuntu windows 2008 domain (likewise, simple ) , can log in, how set home folder domain users in ubuntu? mean, can login domain saves home files locally, want save , load them server.
want install ubuntu @ school, without domain connection curiosity

btw. sectiion?

you need have network file share, can mounted using autofs. also, in likewise, there must way provide home directory information users in ldap.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
