Thread: Mozilla Thunderbird won't work with Yahoo pop mail

i've configured thunderbird fetch yahoo mail can close account since gets more spam anything. mail that's there, thunderbird tells me password wrong. know it's correct since can log mail through web. i'm suing these links still nothing. notice have paid option now, more of reason want close account. i've attached error well. appreciated. if there's options let me know. thanks.

well...i've been searching around client in windows let me download emails. interestingly enough looks companies yahoo , microsoft have gone step backwards. yahoo has pop option paid accounts apparently, able download open source client called zimbra allowed me emails. need figure out how make backup can store them since need check make sure got need , don't see numbers of how many emails have total on yahoo compare.

said, microsoft has called live mail included bunch of other software don't care , supports paid pop option. tried thunderbird since wanted download see if can check numbers client on windows doesn't allow me this. wished evolution working in ubuntu prefer , there's no windows version can find. why companies decide go backwards beyond me, not being able simple task of downloading email backup nuts. needless once i'm sure got emails i'll closing account there , never recommend yahoo again. if has other options other clients, please feel free add them here. need else both ubuntu , windows. can't kmail work pop either i'll have go , check again.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
