Thread: problem in ubuntu during formating

i have installed ubuntu 10.10 dual booting in different drive partion when virus has attacked windows 7 , formatted the c: drive , reinstall window 7 ubuntu 10.10 disappeared i.e not showing dual booting system when open computer.i have format c:drive not other drive,recently have installed ubuntu 11.10 dual booting want know if th same problem repeat or not,plz problem.

when installed windows 7 overwrote mbr own bootloader, need restore grub. see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/wi...alling_windows

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
