User wants to include username and password in a topic

a user gave me list of instructions wants in online help. instructions include username , password downloading file ftp site. don't idea couple of reasons.

the first in company has access file can see username , password. says that's not problem, gives them access file, still worry of information in file misused.

my second problem passwords change (or, @ least, should!) , mean file becomes out of date , need updating frequently.

so, ideas on how handle this? searched discussion area here , there doesn't seem way password protect part of file. (we're delivering .chm, can't use features of web server protect it.)

his reason wanting part of main file way information in 1 place. 1 thing suggest put except username , password in help, , put somewhere more secure.

has else had problem? how did handle it?

i take user in context means client.

if want wants , has been warned, it's problem if goes belly up. if creates work you, chargeable. set minimum charge making changes , 1 minute change money spinner.

you don't have option there never satisfactory way of password protecting chm in whole or part.

just make sure warning written , acknowledged.
