Changing the colour of a vector

hi have black vector image on transparent bg in eps format wish change white put on black bg in illustrator.  way know how change in photoshop color overlay when place in illustrator, edges no longer crisp.  there solution?  thanks

if see rectangle, isn’t vector image.

 

you need trace , expand make paths editable.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
