Lens profile not listed in corrections panel

i'm using lightroom 4, waiting upgrade 4.4.  however, i'm having problem not finding of lens profiles listed in lens correction control panel.  if check box, "enable profile corrections" , select "lens profile" dropdown menu, list of 6 available lens brands: apple, canon, nikon, sigma, sony, , tamron.  odd, because when view package contents software under package contents > contents > plugins > resources > lens profiles - lenses use (pentax) listed there.  why not show in interface of actual software when running?

replying own post seems have corrected problem.  did upgrade 4.4, think part of problem before image formats.  had earlier imported experiment had been processed in editor , exported jpgs.  time imported actual raw files, , when checked profiles under lens corrections, lenses there.
