Missing MTS files?

i new user of premier elements.  first project create sports highight video , think have lost season's worth of work.

 

i using premier elements 11. process 1) "drop" video pe project; 2) trim video shorten clip 7-10 seconds of action; 3) repeat next video.  however, in effort free disk space, deleted origninal large video files.  premier elements asking me mts files , trimmed clips missing project.  pe require retention of original video files?  sugguestions on do?  original video files unrecoverable.

until export (share current term) timeline new video file, premiere elements (and premiere pro) "non-destructive" editors, in project consists of "pointers" want inside original file... original file not touched in way , original file required

 

so... since deleted original files, project "pointers" pointing files not exist

 

sadly, have learned hard lesson... not delete/move video files until 100% done project

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
