My licensed copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 will not load

my licensed copy of adobe acrobat pro 9.0 not load - disk isn't recognized our drives longer. how replacement disk?  btw - adobe support seems worst i've ever experienced single company. getting no where! took me forever find forum , not expecting results.  there competitor adobe acrobat 9.0?  need convert documents pdf, combine pages, etc.... paperless , need these functions.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
