Open catalog in Folder Location view by default

is there way make catalog display pictures folder location, rather thumbnail view, every time reopen it?

the organizer should open in whatever display mode used last. setting should stored in preference setting file. if file has become damaged, possible setting not being saved. may need recreate it. see solution 3 here: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-photoshop. html#main_beginning_troubleshooting

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
