Thread: Any antivirus required for UBUNTU 11.04

hi,

new user of ubuntu. presently using 11.04.

awesome. earlier os win7.

after using ubuntu feel not going windows.

have 2 doubts.

1.dont have install antivirus in linux?
please suggest 1 if so.

2.i have installed cairo clock not knowing how access it. widgets in windows?

1. antivirus isn't necessary in linux. have never used 1 , nothing happend there clamav in ubuntu software center (or sudo apt-get install clamav in terminal) if wanna that.

2. cairo-dock standard application - turn on usual program (ubuntu button > cairo dock)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
