Thread: Dual boot ubuntu/win 7 ethernet issue

hi

have been using ubuntu forever , have never run across problem before. running 11.04 , loaded win 7 on separate drive dual boot. before install didn't have troubles ether net port or interent speeds. since install can gain network access/interent via windows.

after installing windows had run drivers ethernet card (ethernet card not work otherwise) , update grub gain win 7 boot. since have had issue.

running realtek pcie integrated card. have tried few google searches resolve issue nothing seems close fit problem or other solutions don't work.

have powered down/unplug system, popped battery out, mac address , ip same in ubuntu , win 7. great

not great in navigating terminal
in advance

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
