Thread: Flashing cursor boot from USB

hello,

ive installed ubuntu several usb devices, such external usb hardrive, , several usb flash drives, when go boot them pressing f9 boot options , select drive boot from, flashing cursor.

not live usb full installed ubuntu on usb.

ideas, appreciated.

i had similar issue, on install usb drive, @ end click advanced, , make sure grub installed on mbr of usb drive, not first hdd

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
