Thread: How can I change what details the Thunderbird email notification pop-up displays?

sorry if isn't place post but:

@ moment when pop-up notification i've received email is format:

-my email address
-received 1 new message
-subject line of email
-1st line of email

how can change displays email address/name of whoever sent me email?
i'm using ubuntu 11.10 unity
help, i've gone through many settings menu have drawn blank!

it doesn't can change format of notification much. settings contained in edit -> preferences -> advanced -> config editor

search alert

it's bit more usable if set mail.biff.alert.show_preview false. @ least can see subject line , "from name of sender".

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
