Thread: incompatibility between gcc 4.3 and cuda driver 270!

hello all,
joined ubuntu forum ask (newbie) question, hope i'm posting in right place!

next couple of months i'm supposed work machine has ubuntu 10.04 (64-bit) kernel 2.6.32-37 on it.

cuda installed on machine. version of installed driver 195.36.24.
problem need use code uses opencv 2.3, opencv 2.3 needs cuda toolkit 4.0 requires newer driver (270. @ moment).

tried installing new cuda driver system complains driver needs gcc 4.4 have gcc 4.3 on system.

can me issue please?

i'm surprised gcc on machine 4.3 since seems ubuntu 10.04 default has gcc 4.4!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
