Thread: Installed Windows 7 on Ubuntu

right, needed software work wasn't available on ubuntu had install windows 7. now, installed windows 7 on separate partition ubuntu, when start computer automatically starts windows without letting me choose boot in ubuntu. also, old partition ubuntu installed on doesn't show on computer, new 1 does, original size (i.e. 300 gb hd, partitioned 2x150 gb; windows partition still 150 gb other files on intact).

luckily had files on windows partition, find bit odd old partition would've disappeared that... thoughts?

hi, widows assumes operating system on computer, need reinstall grub, here link program may able you.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
