Thread: NTFS external drive not detected

hi there, i'm different problem

first off, i'm running ubuntu 11.04, using lubuntu desktop environment. going lxde environment variety. same problem showing everywhere.

i've got 3 internal hdds, taking sda1, sda5, sdb1 , sdc1.

have acquired usb control box, s-ata drive old laptop. plugged oldish computer , reason won't show anywhere, not in gparted, can spot in terminal , of course won't mount @ all.

tried searching in gparted, without success.

can neither make heads nor tails on means, that's why come people.

there can detect external storage box , if there is, smeg it??

hdd inside box has lot of valuable data, have no intention of formatting or deleting partitions, want review contents , see if can use storage box, in case ever run out of space.
