please recommend how test if computer set , working how shoud ? i've build machine , want sure it's set , stable under every load. ? example , simple task suspending doesn't seem work me now; i'd find similar issues...

the basic tests memtest verify ram working. additionally, there called stress test suites, put different components of machine under pressure (cpu, hdd, graphics card).

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
