Thread: Uninstall UBUNTU 11.10 and format HDD

hey,

have tried hunting solution not find worked asking afresh.
have 1 hdd no partitions on except 1 ubuntu created byitself when installing.

hdd has no data on dont mind formatting clean. want clean hdd up, install windows , laptop dual boot windows , ubuntu.

understand cant create dual boot once have ubuntu installed. has windows first.

when try boot laptop off windows dvd , try install windows hdd shown file format ext4 windows not read.

how move on here please?

so windows won't install because doesn't recognize ext4 partition?
put ubuntu cd in , run live , open gparted , format entire drive ntfs in case.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
