Thread: video not fluent

hi all,

i've build new workstation replacing old box i've experienced problems video, not video. playback it's not fluent, tearing.. picture torn in half in middle or in other words, see line. same if move windows accross desktop quickly.

i've finished new machine new hadrware lik i72600k processor , i'm experiencing same! i'm still using same videocard in old system nvidia gt520silent, related videocard??? i've read lot of posts settin compiz, sync v-blank , on nothing seems help...getting crazy.

have these problems on systems?

use totem watch videos? heard lot of people have problems using video player , suggest you try smplayer. smplayer far better totem , supports vdpau let's graphics card dirty work.


use command install it:

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
