Unable to open Bridge CS6 after installing Adobe Photoshop Elements 8

i have been using bridge cs6 until installed photoshop elements 8 use scanner bought.  after installation, when clicking on bridge cs6 opens bridge cs5.   had @ of forums , tried ctrl-clicking on bridge cs6, still opens  bridge cs5.  have re-installed photoshop cs6 in hope fix it.  suggestions how bridge cs6 going again appreciated!

and tried ctrl-clicking on bridge cs6

 

 

do mean hold down control while starting bridge cs6 , choose reset preferences?

 

from control click presume on windows?, can more specific?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
