Opening a .pdf in a Portfolio causes pop up "For best experienc use Acrobat 9 or Reader 9 or later."

i created portfolio. in converted word doc .pdf links 2 other .pdf's inside same portfolio.  other 2 .pdf's open when clicked on.  1 links gives me pop message when icon clicked supposed open 1 of other .pdf's.

 

"for best experience, open pdf portfolio in acrobat 9 or adobe reader 9, or later."  shows cover sheet in upper left hand corner.  causing , how turn off opens linked .pdf's normally?

what software showing message? is, specific window see in?

and, version of acrobat or reader have - not same thing?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
