Thread: official way to create liveusb

i'm new ubuntu, not linux. i've spent 3 days trying various way i'm trying without success. i've tried every method has suggested, still can't working. here's i'm trying do;

install lubuntu (willing work ubunut if not possible lubuntu) on clean machine. want add/remove packages , 1 custom program mix. want remaster have installed , put on usb stick can use liveusb stick , have boot on computers. want working clean livecd, except on usb stick, including ability detect hardware on new or target machine.

have tried remastersys, usb-creator, unetbootin, livecd-creator, etc. none seem work lubuntu 11.10. i've used lot of these other distros , work fine. i'm trying lubuntu , best i've achieved far using remastersys, unetbootin. however, when tried load, comes error can't mount /dev/loop0 (/cdrom....). i'm not using cdrom , want boot usb drive.

there official document explains how i'm trying do? think i've read , tried in ubuntu forums , pulling little hair have left, out.
