Thread: system randomly stalls for a few miliseconds

hi!
installed xubuntu 11.10 64-bit on new asus eee 1015px.

since installed ubuntu i'm getting annoying bug.
system stops few milliseconds. @ first thought it's audio/video skips randomly noticed whole system skips.. instance, if im in middle of dragging system confused , after music skips lose thing dragging.
apparently doesn't relate high memory or cpu usage , happens randomly every few minutes.
on windows 7 loader works fine.

so, ideas?

you don't know it's cpu. waking , stealing cpu time. find out sure, open command windows , type "top". let run , go thing. whenever little pause, @ cpu reading , @ process.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
