Thread: Unable to create a bootable USB or CD

hi everyone. wonder if tearing hair out trying create bootable usb or cd of 11.10.

bricked netbook , need re-install operating system whcih had 10.04 installed. i've tried everything, , attempted boot on other laptop (the 1 i'm using now!) no success.

has else had problem? ideas or suggestions or advice gratefully received.

which system using , create cd-usb?
both windows-linux netbootin better create bootable usbs. cd in linux use brasero. in windows 7 use system cd creator, don't forget have specify burning image.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
