Thread: unable to download programs from software center

i unable install programs using software center or using terminal.

if try install program using software center begins download , after few mins stops no error msg.

when try using terminal tells me not find package.

unable download updates last 19 days when try update

have searched solutions keep seeing people remove ppa software center- other software tried there no mention of ppa software.

using ubuntu 11.10 upgraded 11.04 on sony vaio vpcf12

ps please keep answers simple because not expert computers.

it looks octet missing. did remove these post? or perhaps dns settings correct. can go http://archive.ubuntu.com on ubuntu box?
