Thread: Unity panel sucks beacuse...

hi,
i've went through struggle damn unity panel , wonder if feel same way poor substitute of user interface.

start, idea:

unity panel sucks because:
  • that stupid vertical bar seems in way , opens when want click something
  • it takes centuries stupid vertical bar open , close (is animation necessary !?)
  • when trying make more user-friendly compiz have 90% chance breaking system
  • there no obvious "hide ******* windows" buttons
  • top of windows hides under top panel makes impossible move without magic 'alt + mouse grab' combination
  • alt+tab when have many windows of same app opened annoying navigate
  • did mention stupid vertical bar ?
  • you can't personalize bar. no right-click options

to me, doesn't suck. use works for you , don't worry it. moved recurring in 3...2...1

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
