Trouble installing lightroom 4 on vista

hi,
i have tried installing trial version of lightroon 4 in hope purchase it. can see folder in downloads, when click run file, nothing happens ( in vista- small circle appears show on work process- stops). later managed download , istall lightroom 3-except not me because have canon mark iii.
any other alternative of purchasing lightroom 4?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
