Updates in Photoshop CS6

i cannot updates install in photoshop or camera raw. if run raw update 7.4 says succesfully installed when open raw file says version 7.2. have disabled virus checking , same result , have reinstalled adobe program manager no change. have checked file disables adobe updater , not present. have had warnings program manager has problem link on notification said unavailable used version available search of adobe website. ideas?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
