Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - Is there an alternative to 'delete and close gap?'

there 2 scenes on same track (not sure if they're called scenes, not sure else call them), want put them right next each other on timeline, no gap in between. if use delete , close gap, in front of these 2 scenes move well. don't want else move, want move lone scene next scene. if try drag next it, it'll either slice scene in half if don't drag 100% next it, or there single frame of black space on video. way can if zoom in , pain stakingly drag them precisely next each other. there way can use 'delete , close gap' without making other tracks move well? think might've been ripple delete in older versions of premiere if remember correctly.

whenever adding clips timeline, try holding down alt key of computer main keyboard avoid disturbing existing timeline content including splitting of audio.

have tried right clicking timeline file deletion , selecting "delete" instead of "delete , close gap" , use alt modifier drag clip(s) around mouse cursor?

please give , let know outcome? alt key maneuver should work has many others.

thanks.
