Memory problem

i have been trying import photos recent trip away on computer after downloading couple of memory cards, comes dialog box disk full , cannot import further. prompted me ask question whether there way import photos directly onto external hard drive has 1tb capacity instead of computer's hard drive?

yes, can this.

 

in import dialog box, in destination panel on right, select location on external hd.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
