Thread: How to change resolution?


ok, have acer aspire 5515 running ubuntu 10.10. happened resolution changed 1024 x 68, , when boot ubuntu black screen comes instead of boot splash screen.when happens can still hear boot sounds, can't see screen. know resolution 1280x800. thread looking @ : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1713043

tried first step in thread xrandr.
output: xrandr: failed size of gamma output default
screen 0: minimum 800 x 600, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768
default connected 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
1024x768 61.0*
800x600 61.0

saw created new xorg.conf, know xorg.conf different different graphic cards.

my graphic card: ati radeon x1200
