i wondering how claim owner on ubuntu 11.10 because not let me modify of files or access of files. , won't let me change permissions because says not owner. can do?

what files trying change?

if outside home directory, you'd need use sudo modify them, chances fine are.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
