Thread: Log all Failed Logon Attempts

i have ubuntu setup log failed logons of know accounts. need log logon attempts of unknown accounts. know capture users passwords when accidentally type there password in username field.

any appreciated. know have done before can't remember how did it. requirement have meet work.

have login.def log_unkfail_enab set yes. when test username doesn't exist doesn't show in log.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
