im noob, , creating profile see if something. made current account standard account @ same time, have 2 accounts both standard account. when try switch account admin account, says need password root? im running 11.10.

boot recovery mode (you may have press , hold shift key during bootup grub menu)

boot "root shell"
@ prompt, type
(replace <username> user want have access sudo)
code:
usermod -a -g admin <username>
then type "reboot" reboot, , login

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
