Thread: Mounting drive - no data found
hi there,
quite new ubuntu/ linux systems. give try, have set virtual machines ubuntu (and other linux-) systems testing.
testing in virtualbox.
have 2 ubuntu systems installed (both version 11.10).
have created additional harddisk share files , folders between 2 systems (well... guess...). have run first system, mounted additional harddisk , put testfolder on testfile. did shut down system , started second system, mounted additional harddisk there see file had put there first system... there nothing. put testfiles additional harddisk second system , shut 1 down well.
started first system again, mount drive see... nothing.
quite astonished , tried mount entire second system first. did work , can access files of second sys when starting first one, there still files missing.
assume general problem... perhaps permissions? if that, have set permissions read , write (and applied childs) additional harddisk, seemed not change anything. executed nautilus root... did not bring of "missing" files.
clues how can have harddisk or folder on harddisk can read from/ written linux system mount harddisk?
