Thread: r8168 on Ubuntu 11.10 Kernel 3.x.x, part 2


on unbuntu 11.10, 3.0.0-14-generic:

i've followed steps above change kernel module load r8168 instead of r8169. however, i'm still getting dropped connectivity on ethernet connection.

network-manager keeps complaining popups "wired network\n connection established" , "wired network\n disconnected".

checked syslog , doesn't report eth0 going down or up, assume stays up.

sharing wifi connection on computer computers ethernet card attached switch. on other computer, icmp_seq inconsistent when ping website , gets dropped:
