what should use on 11.10 system prepare videos toplay on new ipod?

think answer going 'ffmpeg', , think 'ffmpeg' figures out pretty input is, have set output.

seems me once figured ipod likes h.264 (i.264?) , believe old vidcam format (maybe common "*.mov" videos).

i'm guessing need single command-line convert existing video appropriate format ipod, put "my videos" folder on old mule xp system use itunes.

got easy solution this?

look @ handbrake, should in repos.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
