Elements organiser does not launch from the desktop toolbar

obviously not major, frustrating, , slows workflow.  when have editor (i have version 11) open , click on quick launch icon @ bottom of desktop,  90% of time, @ least, nothing happens.

is known fault ?  there can fix ?

 

any comments appreciated !

try making direct shortcut organizer , editor. can launch programs directly desktop bypassing welcome screen. better welcome screen leaves background processes running.

 

on windows, right click anywhere on desktop , select new >> shortcut

 

then click browse button , navigate to:

 

"c:\program files (x86)\adobe\elements 11 organizer\photoshopelementsorganizer.exe"

 

then click next; click finish

 

 

 

 

then make direct shortcut editor in similar manner.

 

on windows, right click anywhere on desktop , select new >> shortcut

 

then click browse button , navigate to:

 

"c:\program files(x86)\adobe\photoshop elements 11\photoshopelementseditor.exe"

 

then click next; click finish

 

n.b. navigate program files on 32 bit systems.

 

drag each icon taskbar , should able launch either organizer or editor single click.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
