lock textarea.swf widget for editing

i using captivate 6 presentation requires text displayed on slide in scrolling region. testarea.swf widget seems ideal have 1 problem: don't want user able enter or change text in scrolling region during playback.

 

is there way lock area editing during playback?

 

i have no intention of using presenter 8---already decided not have right combination of features i'm taking longer better looking route captivate.

 

on related note.....does know if there variable represents content of captivate "slide notes" pane? give me option use.

i sorry text inside textarea.swf cannot locked. variable can used closed captions cpcmndcc shows , hides closed captions.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
