My default template has suddenly disappeared with no precipitating action...

does know if going on bc corrupt template files?

if @ http://status.businesscatalyst.com/ you'll see 3 days ago , 4 days ago there ftp problems , if uploading templates or files site might have been corrupted if there timeout or something, in experience it's client who's accidentally deleted template or error on part.

 

make sure roles , permissions prohibit client/owner deleting site-wide templates.  i'd prohibit them editing site-wide template well.  way, don't accidentally break website.

 

one time accidentally deleted site-wide template through ftp program-- luckily still had local version of file-- little outdated , had patch , bring speed other template changes made did in few hours , minimized blunder client.

 

if believe wasn't fault, check reports see if there other logins client/owner or other admin users. goto reports > admin reports , change filter 1 month see last month of logins admin. show ftp/sftp logins user have accidentally deleted template.

 

do have template saved locally?  typically keep whole project backed locally juuuuust in case.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
