i've acquired gateway flexatxstc bro 600 working fine ubuntu 10.04. such nice compact machine, albeit old, i'm thinking using dedicated emc2 processor cnc milling machine. chassis devoid of lan , parallel ports has 2 half height pci slots. date best advice parallel cards seem either 1 based on 9845/9865 chipsets or (if budget permits) mesa 5i25/7i76 cards.

i'd hear collective opinion on half height lan card work "straight out of box", or better still, wifi card save me running cat5 workshop.

i've sorted out lan issue onwards , upwards parallel pci card.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
