Thread: Hosed MiniDLNA - how to do clean reinstall?
have been playing minidlna on 11.10 , had partially working, database updates failing, , made problem worse playing permissions. decided re-install, sudo apt-get removed it, tried install again - failed, unable write /etc/minidlna.conf (which wasn't there because i'd renamed existing one). in naivete decided manually remove related files, including init.d/minidlna , /etc/default/minidlna, assuming they'd created on install ... which, turns out, they're not.
there relatively painless (read: not wiping , re-installing os) way system state can clean, working minidlna install @ point?
