apple ipod nano 8 gb (6th generation)
amarok 2.3

*absolute beginner*

problem:

cant songs transfer onto ipod. tried quite few ubuntu apps before researched problem , discovered there seems ongoing problem newer generation apple products syncing in linux. in amarok can play songs on connected ipod when try sync fails , songs never transfer ipod.

there fix in works or sol when comes syncing ipod while running ubuntu? im willing try anything. frustrating , main thing keeping me stuck in windows os @ moment. please help.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
