Thread: Unnecessary Unity updates

ubuntu 11.10 classic.
don't use unity, removed unity stop unnecessary updates. same banshee, use audacious.
though both removed system, still try update every time. there anyway stop still update rest of system? i'm having scroll through updates , untick unuty/banshee stuff.

how did remove them? if update finding them, seems of packages left on sysem?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
