Help with working on Word files that were created in Framemaker and saved as PDF

please help. given pdf vendor created in framemaker. pdf 2+mb. saved word doc delete sections don't need our folks file saving @ on 20mb (after deleted lot of pages it). large cannot email it. i've tried zip , convert pdf , in both cases file decreases few hundred kb while still leaving on 20+mb. idea how can work file take sections need without creating such large file size? thank you. brian

it not clear want do. if intent return editing information vendor, such pages delete, can delete them pdf , return result.

 

why converting document word?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
