If have student/teacher ver of CS5 extended can I upgrade just PS to CS6 still ?

looks upgrade price cs5 $200 not sure can still with

the flavor have.  appears full student/ teacher version of cs6 $300

though don't require features of extneded  work or home, couldn't find link anyway.

a bit afraid of ongoing cost of cc.

yes. adobe treats upgrades education versions same non-education. soon, when photoshop 14 (cc) officially out, adobe may cut off cs5 cs6 upgrade path.
