Reappearing outdated api files

we use autonomy interwoven filesite 8.5 , having issue outdated api file reappearing. whenever update/repair acrobat, old (dated 11/30/2007) api file shows in c:\program files (x86)\adobe\acrobat 9.0\acrobat\plug_ins. correct (06/15/2012) api file remains in plug_ins\interwoven folder outdated imanacrobat.api file shows up. having outdated api file causing issues saving pdf documents. if manually delete 2007 api file works until next acrobat update, comes again.

i have opened support case autonomy , convinced software not problem. have tested repair when computer disconnected domain environment disabling network adapter make sure wasn't getting file our network somewhere. imanacrobat.api file keeps coming back. using procmon while repairing , watching file recreate produced no pointers file coming from. searching local registry not find related api except pointer one.       have ideas why api files keep reappearing or how can rid of problem?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
